A’ excerpt from a clipping from the early 1950s - ‘Charles Fleischman has been experimenting with denim for over 20 years. It began when women first took to pants in the days of farmerettes during the other world war. And of course out on the ranges many a good rider squeezed herself into men's Jeans to help with the round-up on the range. So Charles Fleischman watched women riding and working in the fields and trying to fit into men's pants for sailing too and he had a hunch that has paid off handsomely. He decided to make denims for women - curved for the feminine form.'
