Beautiful 1930-1940s Japanese export kimono. Made of silky rayon in navy with highly decorative three dimensional embroidery in a detailed floral design with butterflies, landscape motifs, and water. The embroidery is in a rainbow of ombre colors and the lining is navy rayon. A matching belt is sewn to the back with additional embroidery at the ends. The bottom hem is lightly padded with cotton wadding.
This is a free size garment, when laid flat it is 51" inches long and 25" inches across from underarm to underarm (Bust 50")
The condition is good overall, with some signs of its age and wear as is to be expected with a garment of this age. Please see all the images and zoom in for details and please ask any questions that you have about the condition before purchasing. The main condition points to note are on the seems, which has been repaired over the years in different places. There are different types of stitching on the exterior seams, there are seam repairs at the shoulders, neck, and arm openings of the kimono. There are no stains, three pin holes, some fading to the bottom hem lining, and over all very clean. I have tried to mention everything that I can see regarding the condition, overall I think that the kimono presents very well when worn but please be aware before purchasing that it does have signs of its age and repairs. *any flaws are considered in the price
