1950s Dorest Rex Rectangle Woven Lucite Box Bag Gold and Stars Retro Top Handle Purse

Beautiful and sweet Dorset Rex lucite and woven handbag. Delightful lucite weave with gold stars and strands and a clear lucite lid, base and handle. Dating from the 1950's, Dorset Rex were one of the more well known designers of lucite and metal weave bags. The bag is a great size and can fit a phone, wallet, and small accessories. Rectangle shape made of gold tone wire basket woven with plastic ribbon, lucite top and bottom with top lucite handle.

The bag is signed and in wonderful vintage condition. Normal yellowing of the weaving plastic, some rust and wear to the hardware, one small chip on the bottom lucite panel, the bag is signed however half of it is missing. The bag has been cleaned with soap and water, ready to wear. Any flaws are consistant with age and use and does not affect the integrity of the bag and considered in the price.
