In 1953, designer Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi was experimenting with freehand brushstrokes when the Piccolo pattern was born. Three years later, it made its way onto the first Marimekko menswear, now an iconic Finnish wardrobe staple cherished by men and women alike. The Marimekko Jokamies (Every Man) Shirt is a variation of the original Joikapoika (Every Boy) striped button-up, but with a slimmer and more tapered fit. In a unisex cut. The slightly swaying stripes of brown, olive green and black are powerful yet naturally pleasing to the eyes, and metal buttons and side darting are additional fine details to this flattering shirt. Made in the late 1990s and 100% cotton. In beautiful vintage condition, some fading to the back from washing, ready to wear, no flaws to note.
